Submission Guidelines
Full papers accepted for the “Advances in Cartography and GIScience of the ICA”
- Please consider all reviewers’ comments when preparing your final paper.
- Please prepare your final paper in the ICA Word or LaTex template. You probably already used the template for preparing your paper for review.
- Please include all the figures in your final paper.
- The final paper should not be longer than 8 pages.
- If your article contains any copyrighted illustrations or imagery, please include a statement of copyright such as: © Springer Verlag Copyright 20xx (fill in year). It is the author’s responsibility to obtain any necessary copyright permission.
- After publication, your article is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License and you retain the copyright.
- Please fill, sign and scan the “Consent to Publish” form.
- Please submit the following documents (in a zip file) via email to info@lbsconference.org not later by 15 September 2019:
- the source files of your final paper (either DOC/DOCX or ZIP with Latex);
- your final paper as PDF file;
- a PDF document describing how you address all reviewers’ suggestions (if you have not done that);
- signed “Consent to Publish” form (in PDF);
- permission agreement from original publishers (if you include any copyrighted works in your final paper, see above).
- Please register for the conference by 30 September 2019 (extended)

Submissions accepted for the online proceedings (work in progress)
Online proceedings will be published as open access through the TU Wien reposiTUm under a Creative Commons license. Each paper will be assigned a DOI. In addition, a table of contents and links to all papers will be placed on the LBS 2019 conference website (http://lbs2019.lbsconference.org).
- Please consider all reviewers’ comments when preparing your final paper.
- Please prepare your final paper using the LBS 2019 Word template. You probably already used the template for preparing your paper for review.
- If your paper has been submitted as a full paper, but accepted as work-in-progress, you will need to follow this work in progress template (see the above point).
- Please include all the figures in your final paper.
- It is your choice to submit your final paper as a short paper (recommended length: <6 pages) or an extended full paper (recommended length: <25 pages). If you consider publishing an extended version of your original submission in a journal (e.g., Journal of Location Based Services) after LBS 2019, we recommend you submit it as a short paper only.
- Please include all authors’ full names, affiliations and email addresses in the final paper.
- Please fill, sign and scan the “Consent to Publish (TU Wien)” form. Note that this is a different form than for the ICA Advances.
- Please submit the following documents (in a zip file) by e-mail to info@lbsconference.org not later by 9 October 2019:
- the source files of your final paper (either DOC/DOCX);
- your final paper as PDF file;
- signed “Consent to Publish (TU Wien)” form (in PDF).
- Please register for the conference by 30 September 2019 (extended)
